“In the military you're in a unit, you spend a lot of time with the people you're in a unit with, and there's a lot of camaraderie. I feel like in restaurants, it's the same thing. You work long hours; you're working with the same people constantly. It's stressful work, it's hectic, it's a lot of moving parts, it's fun, it's exciting, there's ups and downs. You form these tight-knit bonds, like friendships with people you work with, at any restaurant. And you're not going to be friends with everybody, but some of my best friends have always been people I worked with.”
